Hi, my name is Jake and I am addicted to the start-up lifestyle.  Free is my favorite word,  Google is my savior, and 5 hours is a good night’s sleep.

When the mind is stimulated by truly awesome ideas the human body is capable of producing powerful endorphins that provide an unmatched high.  And that is why I am addicted!

For me dart102 is all about mental stimulation.  It is a place that welcomes innovation and allows young entrepreneurs to explore big ideas with people who can provide a valuable support structure.

I am interested in meeting young people with cool ideas from all over Boston who are motivated to make it happen.   Whether it is a concept or early stage start-up my goal is to be surrounded by the people who can ask tough questions and know how to make a plan come together.  Most of all I am motivated by people who take action.

How did I get here?  Well, after I graduated from Bentley with a degree in Economics and Finance I decided I wanted nothing to do with working a 9-5.  For the last two years I have been working on a web-based start-up called goSwoop.  From the experience I have learned invaluable lessons and built incredible relationships.  While I have not earned enough money to do whatever I want in the world, I do believe I’ve gained an education equivalent to a MBA at the very least!
